Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2014

Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and several other worthy recipients were recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it was a fitting rock party. Springsteen had already been inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999, but came back to cheer on the members of his E Street Band who were now getting their honors.

The other honorees at the 2014 edition of this rock and roll institution were Linda Ronstadt, Nirvana, KISS, Hall & Oates, Peter Gabriel, and Yusuf Islam -- the man we once knew as Cat Stevens.

Boomers Rock

What is it about Rock and Roll music that seems to have a tremendous hold on us? The sounds of the late 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s can put us right back there -- at the old hometown hang-outs with friends, or in those heart-pounding moments with members of the opposite sex, wondering "will they or won’t they?"
